Summary of LES
Background
- Learn for Life is a movement initiated by MOE. NIE research views this in terms of life-long, life-wide, life-deep, and life-wise learning.
- The goal of learning for life is to prepare students to be future-ready in both their careers and daily life.
Key Insights
- Students’ school experiences and perceptions of their relationships are linked to Learn for Life competencies.
- There needs to be conscious alignment of school curriculum, teaching pedagogy, and assessment approaches on Learn for Life competencies.
- Teachers’ mindsets, relationships with students, and views on citizenship are all important for development of Learn for Life competencies.
