SingTeach was conceived in 2005 by the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice at the National Institute of Education (NIE) as a means of sharing the findings from NIE's research with teachers in Singapore, and to bridge the gap between academic research and classroom practice. It is now published bimonthly by NIE's Office of Education Research.

Associate Professor Low Ee Ling
Associate Dean, Foundation Programmes, NIE Ee Ling is very involved in teacher education at NIE, in her capacity as Associate Dean of Programme and Student Development. She also holds a concurrent position as Associate Professor with the English Language and Literature Academic Group. Her research interests include English language teacher education and teacher education in general.
Math Ed
Mr Chua Boon Liang Lecturer, Mathematics and Mathematics Education, NIE Boon Liang has over 10 years of experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level. He now teaches mathematics education courses at the diploma and post-graduate levels in NIE. He is particularly interested both in helping school teachers inspire their students to appreciate the beauty and power of mathematics, and in the teaching and learning of algebra.
Lang Ed

Mr Alexius Chia Senior Lecturer, English Language and Literature, NIE Alexius started his career as an English Language and Literature teacher. His interest in teacher education led him to join NIE in 2003. Alexius remains in touch with schools and works with teachers on professional development courses and research. His research interests include secondary EL teaching methodology and curriculum implementation.
Science Ed

Assistant Professor Lee Yew Jin Natural Sciences and Science Education, NIE Yew Jin taught in secondary schools for 8 years before joining NIE as a Teaching Fellow. He returned to NIE after completing his doctoral studies. Yew Jin continues to bring to science education concepts from qualitative research, sociology, philosophy, and organizational learning. He has published widely in this area and won several awards for his work.
